Root canal therapy, root canal treatment with the microscope
A microscope is tool the doctor uses to increase visibility. As the chamber on the inside of the tooth is dark and very, very small, and the morphology of the root canal system is often complicated, good illumination and magnification allows for more precisely operations.
The microscope allows magnification of up to 25 times, which means that the tiniest details will be easily visible. The microscope is a very important instrument for root canal re-treatment.
The microscope also helps to detect, clean and shape previously impenetrable root canals. Using a microscope, it is often possible to remove foreign objects that have been placed or have broken into the root canal, such as screws or filing instruments.
